Gender equity is not just a workplace issue. It is a human one.

Most of us can point to a moment in our lives where someone believed in us before we fully believed in ourselves. A teacher, a manager, a colleague, a friend. One small act of encouragement that changed the way we saw what was possible.

That is how change really happens. Quietly. Personally. One person at a time.

This edition of Heels Magazine is an invitation to notice those moments, and to become that person for someone else.

You do not need to fix the whole system. You do not need to have all the answers. You just need to do one thing differently. Listen a little longer. Speak up once more. Open a door that was once closed to you. Offer support without being asked.

Gender equity is built in everyday choices, in conversations, in the courage to care. It grows when we stop assuming someone else will take responsibility and instead step forward ourselves.
